Time Bandit
Address:
I first encountered the Time Bandit some years ago. He had committed
a few crimes: cut a piece of sailcloth from the sail of
Christopher Columbus' ship, the Santa Maria; stolen fuel from
Amelia Earhart's plane; taken Oriental spices from Marco
Polo's home.
I suspected these three cases were connected for the
following reasons:
1. There was never any sign of breaking and entering.
2. The thief only took bizarre and relatively valueless things,
leaving behind items which were worth much, much more.
3. Witnesses reported smelling a sulfuric odor in each case.
These cases remained unsolved for years, and the Time Bandit seemed
to have gone into retirement until recently. While investigating
the ransacking of Cleopatra's palace, I found the clue that helped me
track down the Time Bandit--a recipe for an immortality potion that
contained all the missing items, plus one other. So I headed for
Camelot where I was sure to find the Time Bandit extracting one of
Merlin's eyeteeth. And that's it. You took the case from there.
